Job summary

The Salvation Army in San Francisco is seeking a Donation Attendant to support the Production department in a part-time role. You will greet donors, receipt donations, maintain the donation area, and assist with loading items as directed by supervisors.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to communicate clearly with donors and staff. Flexible scheduling is required to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy.
• Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary.
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.).
• Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
• Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes.
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
