Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer with a DoD Secret clearance for a technology-focused site in McLean, VA. The role emphasizes customer service, security procedures, and responsive incident handling.

The schedule is part-time with shifts available in the afternoon/evening, supporting a dynamic, collaborative work environment. The position requires at least 3+ years in security-related fields or a college degree, an active DoD Secret Clearance, and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused site following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and with proper reporting.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, perimeters, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs per site requirements.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and communicate observations to site contacts and leadership.
