Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is hiring a part-time Dockworker to load and unload trailers, sort freight, and ensure on-time, damage-free delivery. The role requires lifting, operating equipment, and following safety protocols in a fast-paced dock environment.

Responsibilities include planning loads, inspecting equipment, fueling fleet, and maintaining clean work areas. A forklift certification and English proficiency are required, with flexible hours and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years or older.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Forklift operator certification required.
• Familiar with handling hazardous materials.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Count, add, and subtract digits up to 10,000s.
• Flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without assistance.
• Load freight to/from dock and trailers according to Bills of Lading and labels.
• Plan loading to fully utilize space and minimize damage risk.
• Hook/unhook trailers, operate landing gear lifting mechanisms.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe condition as required by laws and AAA Cooper.
• Fuel trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
• Clean and maintain dock, trailers, yard, and work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
