Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is opening a Camp Hill, PA service center in Fall/Winter 2026. We are hiring a part-time Dock Worker to load and unload freight safely and efficiently at a modern facility.

The role includes pre/post trip inspections, adhering to procedures, and participation in training programs. Starting pay is $23.35 per hour with opportunities for quick advancement in a professional, positive, people-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Basic math skills
• Fluent in English
• Able to pass a drug screen

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner.
• Maximize space when loading freight.
• Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment.
• Document all freight control processes.
• Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs.
• Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts and/or assignments.
• Adhere to the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual procedures.

Responsibilities

As a Dock Worker, you will load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner. Although DFL Dock Workers do not work inside a warehouse, you must maximize space when loading freight.

• Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment
• Properly document all freight control processes
• Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs
• Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
• Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with dock and inspection operations, including ascending and descending from forklifts, operating forklifts and handling freight and related equipment.
