Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Dock Worker to load and unload freight safely and efficiently. Shifts include 5:00 PM–10:00 PM weekdays and 4:00 PM–9:00 PM Tue-Sat, offering a stable, growing organization with modern facilities and late-model equipment.

You'll complete pre/post trip inspections, document freight controls, participate in training programs, and adapt to irregular schedules while following procedures in the Driver/Dockworker Manual.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic math skills required.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

As a Dock Worker, you will load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner. Although DFL Dock Workers do not work inside a warehouse, you must maximize space when loading freight.

• Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment
• Properly document all freight control processes
• Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs
• Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
• Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Daytona Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with dock and inspection operations, including ascending and descending from forklifts, operating forklifts and handling freight and related equipment.
