JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Ethnographic and Qualitative (EQUAL) Mixed Methods Laboratory in the Department of Biobehavioral Health at Penn State University is seeking a dissertation editor fluent in English and Spanish to edit a dissertation on agricultural safety and health. Responsibilities include formatting data, producing clean tables, and ensuring compliance with style guides and submission protocols. The project involves working with data in Spanish, so fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is required.

Responsibilities and Research Project Support:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Manage, reformat, enter, edit, merge, and maintain data for analysis
  • Work with quantitative data to create visualizations such as tables and dendrograms
  • Clean and format tables
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish
  • Excellent bilingual communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Positive problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience working with community organizations and diverse populations, especially Latino/a communities
  • Knowledge of agricultural labor (a plus)
  • Research or evaluation experience, including quantitative and qualitative methods (preferred)
