Qualifications

• Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Education or Leadership.
• Minimum of three years postdoctoral experience in higher education is preferred.
• Experience as both dissertation chair and committee member; include on CV/resumé.
• Prior chair/supervisor/mentorship of doctoral students.
• Experience in research design and methodology; evidence of quality research in last decade.
• Online instructional experience and virtual teamwork preferred.
• Computer literacy with standard software and internet tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction, direction, and mentorship for dissertation students.
• Chair and supervise committee members and methodologists for assigned students.
• Guide development of Problem of Practice, Concept Proposal, Prospectus, and dissertation.
• Direct and participate in IRB protocols and research processes.
• Support student through data collection planning and revisions as needed.
• Collaborate with the student’s full committee and defend dissertations when required.
• Ensure compliance with Dissertation Handbook and university guidelines.
