The Town of Blackstone is seeking a full-time qualified civilian Public Safety Telecommunicator for Police, Fire, and EMS starting full-time on or about OCTOBER 2025. Applicants with CJIS, E9-1-1, Emergency Medical Dispatch, APCO PST1, C.P.R. training and certification, experience as a police dispatcher with knowledge of computer-aided dispatch systems, and/or those seeking a career in emergency communications will be given preference. All applicants must pass a background investigation and achieve certification in all of the above. Must be available to work all shifts, holidays, and weekends. Recently negotiated union contract Pay Range: $22.50 - $30.00 per/hour on 12-hour shifts.
This position is to backfill a long-time permanent employee’s position. Our department will train and place the candidate on the part-time list and transition to full-time at the appropriate time.
