Job summary

Compass Group at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC is hiring immediately for part-time dishwashers. This role maintains cleanliness of dishes, pots, pans, and prep areas and requires adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

You may work days and evenings, weekends included, with pay ranging from $10.00 to $12.00 per hour. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not required, and online applications are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses racks/conveyor to dishwashing machine. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans and trays; maintains safety and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using approved methods; ensures cleanliness.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains proper temperatures and chemical levels.
• Keeps dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors; cleans work surfaces and prep areas.
• Removes trash and transfers supplies as needed.
• Assists with loading/unloading supplies and performs other duties as assigned.
