Duties and Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize pots, pans, trays, utensils, and silverware to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Remove trash and recycling promptly and ensure waste is disposed of in designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing worktables, and cleaning refrigerators, walls, and other kitchen surfaces.
  • Transport and organize supplies and equipment between storage and kitchen areas while restocking tools and supplies for upcoming shifts.
  • Monitor and maintain temperature logs while keeping walk‑in coolers and freezers clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Support the kitchen team by assisting cooks with proper food preparation, labeling, dating, and storage procedures.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Previous experience or familiarity with food service safety and sanitation guidelines preferred.
  • Comfortable using kitchen equipment, hand tools, and machinery required for daily operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food handler training preferred.
