Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a part-time Academic Support Advocate for Students with Disabilities in the Center for Access. The role supports staff with notetaking, scribing, reading exams and LEAD activities, and may assist in intake sessions and caseload management.

Applicants should have an Associate’s Degree, with preferred experience in supporting students with disabilities. The position is in-person and requires travel between campuses as needed, up to 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required.
• Experience of at least 1 year working with students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with supporting students with disabilities.
• Notetaking, scribing, reading exams and planning/assisting with LEAD organization activities.
• Assist in Center for Access intake sessions and maintain assigned caseloads.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal information and communicate weekly with assigned caseload.
