Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Job Coach to serve Gloucester, Camden, Cumberland and Salem Counties in New Jersey. The role involves supervising and training individuals with developmental disabilities to acquire skills for employment, using task analysis and supports in a community-based setting.

• Two years of full-time work experience in employment or related field.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to analyze a job and break it into manageable components.

Responsibilities

• Teach individuals independent job skills using task analysis and supports.
• Work side-by-side with individuals at the job site to break down requirements.
• Build a support network between individuals and community members.
• Communicate progress to the employer, family, and residential staff.
• Complete all documentation accurately.
• Cooperate with license and department staff during inspections.

We are now hiring a Part-Time Job Coach will service Gloucester, Camden, Cumberland & Salem Counties, New Jersey.The Job Coach uses best practices and technology within a community-based employment setting.TheJob Coach will supervise and trainindividualswith developmental disabilities on how toacquiretheskills needed to perform specific tasks, work routines, and personal life activities that are critical tosuccessful employment.

Starting pay rate: $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Teachindividualsindependent job skills, requirementsutilizingjob task analysis, job specificsupports, including assistive technology and personalassistance
• Work side-by-side withindividualsat the job site, analyzing the job requirements and breakingitinto manageable components that can be taught to theindividual
• Build a support network between theindividualand community members
• Communicateindividual’s progress to the employer and support people, including family,residential staff, and other professionals
• Accurately complete all documentation
• Additionaltasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, orinvestigation

MinimumRequirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years’ full-time work experience in employment or related field
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
• Ability to analyze a job and break it into manageable components
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm ina crisis situation
• Ability to present ideas and factual data in a clear concise manner
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship withindividuals
• Ability to read and write English
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
