Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional for a periodic part-time role in Gastonia, NC. You'll provide crucial support for individuals facing intellectual, developmental disabilities, and mental health challenges.

This role involves implementing personalized services, assisting clients in achieving their goals, and working closely with interdisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in health-related fields.

Flexible scheduling and certifications in CPR or first aid are preferred. Full-time benefits included for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.; Associate Degree in a health-related area; or two years’ experience in a health-related field.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Certification in CPR, first aid and/or MedTech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide opportunities for choice and encourage clients to exercise control.
• Help clients identify personal outcomes.
• Work with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to determine appropriate support methods.
