Columbus Foundation, Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP/Caregiver) to support individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. You will assist with daily living activities, transportation, and community involvement.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient, and dependable care. Training is provided; must be 18+, have a valid license, and be able to lift 40 lbs.

Qualifications

Must be able to drive clients to and from locations in a Columbus-provided vehicle.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must drive and have a valid driver's license.
Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).
Must be able to lift 40 lbs and perform tasks for extended periods.
Experience supporting people with disabilities is preferred but we will train.
Must speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
Assist with activities of daily living such as showering, bathing, toileting, or feeding as needed.
Support daily activities including chores, meal prep, recreation, learning, and fitness.
Accompany individuals on routine errands and assist with tasks.
Represent needs and interests of individuals served by the program.
Provide input on program planning and implementation for individuals.
Document according to policies, procedures and laws.
Maintain communication with staff, families and the public.
Drive clients to appointments, groceries, activities and other locations as needed.
