Job summary

Braverhood is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in New York City to support individuals with developmental disabilities, both at home and in the community. Bilingual speakers are welcome.

Hours are primarily afternoons and weekends, offering a meaningful way to help families and individuals lead better lives. Responsibilities include fostering positive environments, collaborating with Case Supervisors, and documenting progress daily.

Qualifications

• Experience with the special needs community, preferably with children or young adults.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must complete online DSP training course after hire.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive environment to help individuals achieve personal goals.
• Work with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and plans of action.
• Document services and client progress daily and monthly.
• Provide support for individuals with various developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings.
• Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time.
• Adhere to agency and OPWDD regulations.
