Job summary

New York Yacht Club in New York, NY is seeking an experienced server to join our dining team on a part-time basis. The role requires dinner availability Monday through Friday and a willingness to support banquet/private events as needed.

You will greet guests, take and place orders, carry trays, serve food and beverages, clear tables, and maintain high standards of service. Fluent English and basic cocktail and wine knowledge are essential, along with a professional, observant demeanor.

Qualifications

• Professional outgoing personality.
• Restaurant experience and knowledge of F&B sequence of service standards.
• Basic cocktail and wine knowledge.
• Capable of following serving techniques as dictated by club policy and dining rules stated in the employee handbook.
• Fluent English and capable of verbalizing and selling any food or drink specials.
• Observant with attention to detail.
• Applicant must complete pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Dinner availability Monday – Friday with opportunities to pick up additional work with our banquet/private events department.
• Greet customers, set up dining areas, take and place orders, carry trays, serve food and beverages, clean and clear tables.
