Job summary

The Underground at KU Dining in Lawrence, KS is hiring a part-time Dining Supervisor to oversee daily operations, deliver friendly guest service, and maintain food quality and safety. You’ll lead a fast-paced team and serve as manager on duty during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coaching and training, coordinating production and service, managing inventory and cash handling, and ensuring compliance with SERV Safe and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume food-service environment.
• Supervisory experience with ability to manage and motivate staff.
• Prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations at The Underground to ensure efficient service and quality food.
• Lead, coach, train, and provide daily direction to both full-time and part-time employees.
• Assist with food production, inventory, receiving, cash handling, and cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with KU Dining standards and safety requirements.
• Maintain compliance with SERV Safe and HACCP procedures and health regulations.
