Job summary

Whittier Health Network is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients, including formulating care plans and coordinating their implementation across care teams. This position supports nutrition assessment, counseling, and discharge planning in a dynamic clinical setting.

The role requires licensure in Massachusetts, registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and at least two years of related experience, with geriatric and rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences.
• Massachusetts Dietitian License.
• Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• At least 2 years of related administrative and clinical experience in a health care facility.
• Geriatric and Rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.

Responsibilities

• Formulate nutritional care plans and oversee their implementation.
• Ensure standards of practice per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics are followed.
• Confer with Medical and Nursing Staff regarding patient’s nutritional status and attend care conferences.
• Assess nutrition and plan discharge.
• Contribute to CQI activities in Culinary & Nutritional Department.
• Provide nutritional counseling and ongoing evaluations.
• Educate on diets and eating habits.
• Demonstrate geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge to patient care.
