Job summary

Aspire Senior Living Poplar Bluff is seeking a compassionate Dietary Cook to join our dietary team. The role supports residents by preparing and serving meals in a safe, clean environment, meeting dietary needs and preferences with respect.

Part-time day and part-time evening shifts are available with starting rate of $15 per hour and up. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, a current Food Handler certification, and be able to work in a fast-paced long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Food Handler certification.
• Prior experience in a dietary, kitchen, or food service role is a plus, especially in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to lift and stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and residents' preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and equipment, following health and safety protocols.
• Engage with residents respectfully, addressing their dietary needs and preferences with a friendly attitude.
• Adhere to all dietary procedures, facility policies, and state/federal regulations.
