Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Fluent knowledge of word processing (including Microsoft Office) and other office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understands and complies with posted work schedules.
• Prepares, portions and serves appropriate and adequate amounts of food items, beverages and desserts for meal service according to menu and prescribed therapeutic diets in a timely, safe and sanitary manner.
• Assists with preparation and production of vending par levels (entrees, snacks, beverages, and desserts).
• Prepares and delivers nourishments at appropriate times according to procedure in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Assists with meal set up at mealtime according to the diet card, considering therapeutic diets, food preferences and consistencies to meet each resident's individual dietary needs.
• Properly stores all food items and supplies according to procedure including the storage of chemicals.
