Job summary

Cadia Healthcare in Millsboro, DE is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily meal service for residents. You will assist with meal preparation, tray setup, and delivery while following dietary policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include supporting cooks, checking trays for accuracy, and helping with cleaning routines. Prior kitchen experience and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food handling, preparation and service.
• Knowledge of local and state health and sanitation and safety codes is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of kitchen cookware and appliances.
• Previous cooking experience recommended.
• ServSafe certified; and ServSafe Allergens certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies & procedures.
• Perform work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Food Service Director and/or Cook.
• Provide assistance to the cook and other dietary staff in the preparation and service of meals as assigned.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed. Set up a steam table, serve food in dining as instructed.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution for errors regarding diet and allergies. Deliver and collect food carts, trays, etc. to/ from designated areas.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure utensils, etc. are available for the next meal.
