Job summary

The Cypress of Hilton Head is seeking a hospitality-focused Dietary Aide to join our team. The role involves transporting food from the main kitchen and serving residents in a fast-paced, caring environment. Must have exceptional customer service and a passion for helping seniors.

Starting pay is $18 per hour, with tiered experience-based increases. Hours are 24-30 per week, with days on Tuesday, Wednesday and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak English, and perform simple math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Update the daily diet and supplement report with new orders.
• Attend dietary meetings as scheduled.
• Maintain and complete a selective menu for all residents.
• Assist/read to the residents requiring assistance to complete the menu selection and identify appropriate alternative selections or substitutions.
• Complete all side duties as assigned.
• Inform residents of any menu selection changes and substitutions.
• Ensure the accuracy of trays prior to delivery to the resident’s room.
• Photocopy necessary forms/menus used by the Dietary staff.
• Operate all Kitchen equipment safely, according to established policies and procedures.
• Understand the responsibility to report suspected violations of The Cypress Code of Conduct.
• Take appropriate precautions to avoid job-related injuries and comply with injury reporting guidelines.
• Actively participate in safety programs and comply with The Cypress Club policies and procedures.
• Look for ways to continuously improve safety for members, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation per DHEC Rules & Regulations.

Education
