Job summary

Villa Maria is seeking a Part Time Dietary Aide to support dining operations and resident meals. Previous server experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

You will assist in preparing and serving meals, arrange dining areas, monitor temperatures, follow menus, and maintain clean, safe work environments. Weekend availability is a plus, with opportunities to grow in dietary services.

Qualifications

• Previous server experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and dietary guidelines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and prepare dining room area(s) for meals.
• Assist in preparing and serving meals.
• Document meal and snack intake.
• Maintain sufficient inventories of food and supplies.
• Respond to residents' requests, needs, or concerns in a timely manner.
• Comprehend and follow menus and diet cards, taking into consideration resident food preferences, allergies, and consistencies.
• Dish and serve plates, set and bus tables, serve beverages, desserts, snacks, and other items.
• Bus tables, wash, sanitize, and store dishes.
• Clean and sanitize working, serving, and dining areas including appliances.
• Properly handle the use and storage of chemicals, supplies, and cleaning equipment.
• Document food, dishwasher, and refrigerator temperatures, reporting any variations to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
