Job summary

Horsham Center for Jewish Life is seeking a Part-Time Dietary Aide to join our Food Services team. You will help prepare, serve, and deliver meals to residents in a warm, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with meal setup, maintaining cleanliness, following safety procedures, and working closely with dietary and nursing staff to ensure residents receive timely, quality meals.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary, food service, restaurant, healthcare, or long-term care experience preferred, but not required.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well with residents, families, and team members.
• Friendly, patient, and respectful approach to working with seniors.
• Ability to follow directions and established food safety procedures.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, plating, serving, and delivery to residents.
• Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen areas.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Prepare and distribute beverages, snacks, and other food items as directed.
• Assist with stocking and organizing food, supplies, and kitchen equipment.
• Follow residents’ dietary needs, preferences, and meal instructions.
• Communicate resident concerns or meal-related issues to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work cooperatively with the dietary and nursing teams to provide excellent service to residents.
