East Bay Post Acute is seeking a dependable, compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team on a Part-Time basis. The role supports the dietary department in providing nutritious, timely meals in a clean and safe environment.

The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced setting and communicates professionally with residents and staff. Responsibilities include meal prep and service, delivering meals, maintaining cleanliness, following sanitation procedures, and adhering to dietary requirements.

Qualifications

• Prior dietary, food service, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to follow food handling and sanitation practices.
• Strong reliability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service according to menus and dietary requirements.
• Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages to residents.
• Deliver meals to resident rooms and dining areas as needed.
• Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and food service equipment.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Follow residents' specific diets and meal requirements.
• Assist with portioning and plating meals.
• Stock and organize food, supplies, and kitchen items.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety guidelines.
• Report resident concerns, dietary issues, or changes in appetite to the appropriate staff.
• Follow all facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with residents, families, and staff.
• Perform other dietary duties as assigned
