Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent required.
• Licensed or eligible for Oregon licensure.
• Strong medical knowledge across emergency and specialty medicine.
• Excellent verbal communication and client education skills.
• Ability to explain complex medical information with empathy and clarity.
• Strong medical record documentation skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with a client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Contact clients regarding completed diagnostic test results and reports.
• Clearly explain medical findings in a compassionate, understandable manner.
• Review recommendations from attending veterinarians and specialists with clients.
• Answer client questions regarding diagnoses, treatment, medications, monitoring, and next steps.
• Document all client communications in the medical record.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, referrals, or additional diagnostics as appropriate.
• Collaborate with specialty services, emergency clinicians, and client service teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Identify cases requiring escalation to the attending clinician or specialty service.
• Provide exceptional client service while supporting DoveLewis' commitment to outstanding patient care.
