We are conducting federally-funded studies that need diagnosticians. We’re looking for passionate psychology graduate students who are excited about expert training/supervision, have excellent communication skills who have experience with or a strong desire to receive thorough training on the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5.

About the position

Join our research groups as a diagnostician administering the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5, Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, Quality of Life Scale, and the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale. The selected students will receive expert training and supervision to become competent diagnosticians.

Responsibilities

• Administer standardized assessments (SCID-5, Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, Quality of Life Scale, and the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale) under expert supervision.
• Provide analyses and contribute to research procedures as part of federally-funded studies.
• Coordinate with research teams and maintain flexible scheduling to accommodate study assessments.

Schedule and location

Diagnosticians generally offer a minimum of three-hour blocks of availability on as many days as they would like (Monday-Friday). Diagnosticians are contacted when a study assessment is scheduled, often on a weekly basis. We are flexible with schedules and keep an open door for communication. We are looking for diagnosticians who will be available throughout the year, including spring and summer 2025.

Assessments are completed virtually; no travel to a site is required. Pay is per completed assessment, with additional compensation for time waiting for patients and for training/supervision time.

Compensation

We pay per completed assessment, compensate for the time diagnosticians spend waiting for patients to arrive, and compensate for training/supervision time.
