Zusammenfassung

Champaign County Sheriff's Office is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Specialist to screen detainees, provide psychoeducation, and support treatment planning under supervision. You will coordinate with custody and medical staff, monitor at-risk individuals, and help stabilize detainees with county services.

Documentation and CQI are required to track referrals. The role requires a Master’s in a Behavioral/Social Science field, CPR certification, and the ability to operate a vehicle.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral/Social Science required.
• Current clinical licensure preferred.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained.
• Hands-on or online certifications accepted.
• Must be able to practice independently.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Aufgaben

• Under supervision, perform behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff.
• Provide individual and group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.
• Assist custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health of detainees.
• Coordinate care with custody and medical staff for treatment planning.
• Monitor therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees.
• Support stabilization of at‑risk detainees with county behavioral health services.
• Coordinate continuity of care and discharge planning with sharing patient information.
• Complete documentation and maintain referral tracking & CQI records.
• Train staff to solve problems and improve behavioral health support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
