Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Dentist to provide professional dental care for inmates/residents in an institutional setting. The role includes examining teeth, diagnosing treatment plans, and coordinating the facility dental program to promote oral health.

Responsibilities include maintaining dental records, ensuring safety and sanitation, and collaborating with other health staff. Prior correctional experience and licensure are required; 8 hours per week and hourly pay of $100–$125 are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of dentistry and licensure as a dentist in the state of employment.
• At least one year of experience preferred. Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
• A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of correctional custody methods and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine dental care for inmates/residents in an institutional setting.
• Diagnose and develop dental treatment plans for inmates/residents.
• Coordinate and supervise the facility dental program; instruct inmates in prevention.
• Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all dental records.
• Inspect the dental unit and ensure safe, sanitary conditions.
