Position is 20 Hours Per Week

Qualifications And Responsibilities

The Dentist is responsible for general dentistry care for inmates.

Performs routine dental treatments including examining teeth and gums for cavities, infections, and diseases; takes necessary x-rays; performs fillings and extractions as warranted.

Diagnoses and develops treatment plans for inmates.

Develops, coordinates, and supervises the facility dental program, including advising and instructing inmates in the cause and prevention of dental disease.

Must have an active Colorado license with DEA and BLS certification.

About The Facility

Bent County Correctional Facility is located in Las Animas, CO, approximately one hour east of Pueblo, CO.

The facility houses Colorado Department of Corrections male inmates. It has a 24-hour clinic that includes dental, medical, and mental health departments with provider coverage throughout the day.
