Smiles on Calumet, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Part-Time Hygiene Assistant to join our team and support hygiene providers in delivering excellent patient care. This entry-level role offers extensive on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth within a world-class dental network.

You will work closely with our hygiene team, learn to use Dentrix, maintain room and supply readiness, and contribute to a safe, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided; state requirements may apply.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients; ensure patient comfort and educate during treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Assist hygienists during procedures per state dental practice acts.
• Set up rooms for hygiene visits and stock instruments and supplies.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
