Job summary

Harbor Care in Nashua, NH is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our community-focused dental team. You will be chairside with providers, supporting patient comfort, infection control, and efficient workflow in a mission-driven nonprofit setting.

The role offers 20 hours per week with two 8-hour days and a flexible 4-hour shift, plus opportunities to take on additional coverage. Ideal candidates have dental assisting training or experience and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Dental assisting experience or formal training.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain operatories, instruments, and materials for patient care.
• Take digital radiographs and support accurate patient documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols (OSHA, CDC, ADA).
• Support patient flow, including seating, preparation, and communication during visits.
• Perform dental lab tasks such as impressions and model preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and answering phones as needed.
• Provide coverage for team absences as available.
