Job summary

Food Lion in Huntersville, NC is seeking a Deli Bakery Department Associate to provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service while upholding Food Lion’s standards. You will help with ordering, receiving, preparation, and display of merchandise, and ensure proper sanitation and food handling.

Responsibilities include using ACIS/CAO tools, following policies, and completing CBT training. This role emphasizes teamwork and customer care in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, fast, and accurate customer service in the Deli Bakery Department to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follow all technical manuals for processing of product, label placement, etc.
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Maintain proper sanitation of department, equipment and proper food handling/preparation and follow Food Safety guidelines.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge in a neat, clean appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
