Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Commerce City, CO. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts for additional earnings, designed for flexible, part-time work at a distribution center.

Pay rate is $21.70 per hour with a six‑month anchor shift commitment. Responsibilities include access control, customer service, incident response, and routine patrols to deter unauthorized activity.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain visitor and vehicle access records, issue and collect access credentials as directed, and report access discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
