Job summary

Oro Valley Hospital (OVH) is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse for the Skilled Nursing unit, located inside our 176-bed facility. The LPN will provide essential patient care under RN supervision, administering medications and supporting care plans to help patients recover and return to their lives outside the hospital.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting required.
• LPN or LVN state licensure required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Administers medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient care and observations in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and post-discharge care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Responds to medical emergencies and supports code team interventions.
