Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health's Westerly Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for geriatric psychiatry services. The RN will provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care, applying the nursing process and primary nursing principles in accordance with hospital policies.

Candidates should have RN education, geriatric psych experience preferred, and RI licensure with BLS. CPI training within 1 year of employment is expected to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in geriatric psych preferred; previous hospital experience preferred.
• Current RI nursing license; BLS required; CPI training within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical and psychological condition and document findings.
• Adhere to Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.
• Act as a clinical resource and role model for staff.
• Participate in training and educational activities for staff members.
• Demonstrate compassion and professional behavior with patients and families.
• Collaborate with the care team and maintain timely, reliable attendance.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

EXPERIENCE

LICENSURE
