Aptiv is seeking a Part-Time Day Service Associate in Janesville, WI to support adults with disabilities in our day services program, helping participants build independence and life skills.

You don't need prior experience; training provided. Schedule Monday-Friday daytime, 15-25 hours per week, 3-8 hour shifts, pay $16.60/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and appropriate auto insurance.
• Flexible availability during our Monday-Friday daytime hours.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn various software programs.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to provide respectful and person-centered support.
• Previous experience is helpful but not required; experience in direct support or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in engaging activities (art, music, cooking, science, wellness, games, community activities).
• Support individuals in developing daily living, social, communication, and independent living skills.
• Provide one-on-one support to participants who need extra help.
• Assist with behavioral, medical, or personal care needs as appropriate.
• Help individuals follow daily routines and achieve personal goals.
• Encourage participation, independence, choice, and self-determination.
• Provide support with personal care, breaks, range-of-motion exercises, and daily needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and respectful environment.
• Collaborate with coworkers and the support team.
• Document services and perform basic computer or administrative tasks.
