Job summary

Lifesteps Inc. is hiring Part-Time Day Program Aides for the Adult Training Facility in Eighty Four, PA. The role runs from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

You will support adults with disabilities in vocational training, life skills, and community activities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with vehicle use, CPI certification, and CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel using an Agency vehicle.
• Obtain and maintain CPI certification - provided by Lifesteps.
• First aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months - provided by Lifesteps.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with disabilities in activities at the Adult Training Facility, including vocation training, basic work skills, hygiene, money management, community participation, crafts and life skills.
• Observe and report on participants’ accomplishments while maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Transport participants in the Agency vehicle for community-based learning and activities.
