Part-Time Day Custodian (San Antonio, TX)

Location: This role is at our First Park Ten campus in the Balcones Heights area.

Your Mission

Custodians are responsible for providing a physical learning environment that is clean and safe and exemplifies Compass Rose’s commitment to being a world-class school.

Your Responsibilities

Create a clean, safe and healthy environment that supports the learning environment

• Achieve a proficient rating on facilities audits
• Execute assigned work orders and complete projects within 48 hours
• Complete all daily cleaning responsibilities, paying special attention to details
• Replenish stock in bathrooms, clean restrooms, gather and empty trash, sweep, mop vacuum
• Work with Facilities Manager to identify facilities needs for capital expenditures (CapEx) planning

Ensure safety

• Complete school safety training
• Use all personal protective equipment (PPE) 100% of the time
• Ensure OSHA regulations are followed for chemicals
• Report any safety concerns immediately

Supply and cost management

• Monitor the consumption of all materials
• Keep an accurate inventory log sheet
• Order supplies from Facilities Manager within campus guidelines

Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and responsibility

• Zero unexcused absences
• Consistent punctuality
• Operate in a team environment
• Ability to work longer hours as needed
• Follow the work schedule to assure efficiency
• Prioritize and make use of good judgment
