Job summary

Punahou School is seeking part-time, non-benefited Dance Teachers for the 2026‑2027 school year. The role focuses on motivating students and delivering engaging dance instruction in a collaborative, creative environment.

Work hours are primarily 2:00 PM–7:00 PM on weekdays with some Saturday sessions; the minimum hourly rate is $40.00, with compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (3) years of experience teaching dance.
• Professional dance performance experience.
• Ability to motivate students and inspire love and learning of dance.
• Demonstrated success working with young dancers in group settings.

Responsibilities

• Teach dance classes as part of Punahou School’s extended learning program.
• Motivate and guide students to maximize learning opportunities in dance.
• Collaborate with teaching colleagues to deliver engaging dance instruction.
