Job summary

Broward College invites applications for a part-time teaching position in Dance. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in Dance or a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance with field experience and/or substantial graduate credit in Dance.

Prior college teaching and strong computer literacy are preferred, with office hours required and some evening/weekend hours possible. Responsibilities include employing varied teaching methods, engaging diverse learners, preparing courses and syllabi, and

Qualifications

• Prior college teaching experience preferred.
• High level of computer literacy and commitment to teaching.
• All schedules require office hours; some may require evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mastery of their discipline.
• Employ teaching methods across modalities with appropriate technology.
• Facilitate needs of different learners with responsive pedagogy.
• Examine and adapt instructional practices to engage students.
• Engage in course preparation, consultation, and syllabus development.
• Provide prompt and constructive feedback through office hours and assessments.
• Respond to student emails promptly.
• Adhere to reporting deadlines (grades, enrollment, syllabi, textbook adoption).
• Participate in service to the college and community.
