Niagara Community College in New York is seeking a part-time Dance Instructor to teach Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Dance Performance, and Choreography across the academic year. Classes occur on the main campus in Sanborn, NY, with responsibilities for student advising and meeting attendance.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or related field and prior dance teaching experience; a Master’s degree and college teaching background are desirable. Remuneration is per lecture and lab hour.
Part‑time Dance Instructor in the Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences division. Responsible for teaching and advising students throughout the academic year, and attending meetings as requested.
Classes to be taught include Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Dance Performance, and Choreography. Classes are held on the main campus in Sanborn, NY.
Remuneration: $1,008 per lecture hour / $903 per lab hour.
Ability to navigate relationships with diverse populations. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Ability to actively involve and engage students in their own learning. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus and external community. Must be able to develop, prepare, and present information. Must be able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
