Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College is seeking a part-time adjunct for the Dance program. This position teaches a full range of courses for beginning to advanced students and requires preparing syllabi, assignments, and assessments.

Classes may be offered day, evening, or weekend based on departmental needs. Applicants should have a Master’s in Dance or related field with 18 graduate hours in Dance and at least three years of professional artistry experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Dance or related field with at least 18 graduate-level course hours in Dance.
• Minimum of three years recent experience as a practicing artist.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
• Advanced communication and organizational skills.
• Appropriately responds to the needs of the community.

Responsibilities

• Teaches a full range of courses in Dance for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students.
• Prepares and delivers learning activities to achieve course outcomes.
• Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework, and handouts.
• Evaluates and grades class work, labs, assignments, papers, and exams.
• Maintains and submits attendance records, grades, and documentation by deadlines.
• Be available to students for coaching.
• Periodic meetings with supervisors and college leadership.
