Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a part-time Customer Supply Chain Support in Longview, TX. You will engage in activities to support a customer’s supply chain and improve onsite performance, building a foundation in customer relationship management and operations.

The role offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance. This entry-level position requires strong communication, math aptitude, and a customer-focused mindset within a sales-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older due to job duties.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages up to 75 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests and coordinate resources.
• Manage inventory.
• Place and fulfill orders.
• Receive and ship inventory.
• Execute inventory fulfillment within the customer facility.
• Source and quote new and existing products.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and new processes.
• Monetize and report value of supply chain activities to the customer.
