Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking an entry-level Customer Supply Chain Support professional in Austin, TX to assist with inventory management, order processing, and customer coordination. You will work closely with the Supply Chain department to support onsite operations and improve performance at the customer facility.

This full-time role offers foundational experience in customer relationship management and operations, with potential for a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals are met.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pursuing/holding a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Self-motivated, customer service oriented and comfortable in a sales-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs, up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam only).

Responsibilities

• Responding to and coordinating resources for customer requests.
• Managing inventory.
• Placing and fulfilling orders.
• Receiving and shipping inventory.
• Executing inventory fulfillment within the customer facility.
• Sourcing and quoting new and existing products.
• Participating in continuous improvement activities and implementing new processes.
