Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a part-time Customer Site Warehouse Support in Dexter, MI to assist with the movement and processing of products at the 2800 N Zeeb Rd site. The role includes data entry on handheld devices, handling shipments, and maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The position supports a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with up to 28 hours per week, and onboarding with performance goals may lead to a flexible schedule after a period of integration.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule / extra time as needed.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs and up to 75 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).

Responsibilities

• Operating computer programs and wireless hand held devices.
• Moving and handling product accurately.
• Auditing and preparing outgoing shipments to customer facilities.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules.
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives.
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings.
