Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Jersey LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer in our Pemberton, NJ store. You will assist customers, handle transactions, restock, clean, and maintain store safety and presentation.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Part-time hours posted; local benefits include health coverage options and employee programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
