Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Jersey LLC seeks a Customer Service Associate to join our Stratford store and deliver a friendly shopping experience for every customer. In this part-time role, you will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves, and support store operations with a professional, courteous demeanor each day.

This role requires a positive attitude, ability to lift 30-50 lbs, strong communication, and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
