Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Woonsocket, Rhode Island is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store safe and inviting.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect assets.
• Stock and restock merchandise; unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Perform cleaning duties including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
