Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota, is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience by helping customers, processing sales, and keeping the store secure and welcoming.

This part-time role involves stocking, unloading merchandise, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with returns, and working with leadership to ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet physical demands (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling).
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
